Born Hanne Karin Bayer; 22 September 1940) Anna Karina is a Danish-French film actress, director, and screenwriter. Anna is best known for her work with French-Swiss film director Jean-Luc Godard. generation.

Anna was born and raised in Denmark, but left at age 18 and headed to Paris.Even though she didnt speak a word of French, Anna got by selling her paintings until she was discovered by famous fashion designer Coco Chanel in a cafe. She soon became a top model for Coco Chanel until she met Jean-Luc Godard and began her acting career.

Anna starred in several films by Jean-Luc and the two were eventually married for a brief time. Although the marriage was tumultuous, Anna maintained her class by being amicable and having nothing terrible to say about her ex-husband.
