This is one of the first colorizations I did that I thought was worthwhile. Prior to this I had been primarily adjusting the curves and using quick selection which worked semi decent for backgrounds and large objects but skin-tones never appeared “living” just colored. After practice and some advice I was able to start recreating skin-tones that looked alive and not just a solid color. Skin has so many different tones to it, reds and yellows and peach and such that many layers are needed to make the picture come to life. I love this picture of film and fashion icon Audrey Hepburn for its high definition as well as the simplicity.
