Stephen Colbert Black And White Photograph Colorized

Comedian Stephen Colbert won this year’s Best Spoken Word Album Grammy for the America Again: Re-becoming The Greatness We Never Weren’t audiobook. Its incredibly funny and exactly what you would expect if you have ever watched “The Colbert Report
I Found this picture of a much different looking Stephen Colbert at age twenty -two and I had to give it a go. This photo came out a bit over-saturated ,but due to the lighting in the photo that was unpreventable, and I actually prefer it with the bright tones.

I put a light purple tone underneath the skin to give it a more lifelike feel and take away from the orange color that can be common when colorizing skin.

The trees in the back looked like they needed some definition to make them not look so plain. To do this I used different color shades of green, and then covered some of the areas with a dark green and some brown. After the basic greens were laid out, I put a few dots of yellow in a light vivd blending mode and then put a red overlay behind it to give the appearance of dead or dying leaves at the base of the foliage. I also put a bit of yellow around the edges of the plant in the top corner to give a more lifelike look.

The full size original and my colorized version are below, please feel free to take a shot at colorizing it yourself . Also feel free to share this post on your social network of choice and leave your comments or criticisms in the comment section below.
