Veronica Lake Colorized

Veronica Lake Colorized Side By Side Comparison

Veronica Lake  was an American film actress who was known for her femme fatale roles in film noir during the 1940s. She was also well known for her peek-a-boo hairstyle, in which she would cover one eye with her hair. She was also known to hit the bottle unfortunately and this led to a large decline in her acting career which pretty much died down in the 1950s. Sadly she passed away at the age of 50 in 1973 due to hepatitis and acute kidney injury.

This colorization began fairly simple but soon became a bit time consuming due to the small details in the shirt. I used two “soft light” blending mode ,one blue and one green, for colorizing the eyes. I also used a whitish blue vivid light layer and touched around the eyes to give it a bit more realism, I am quite pleased in how they turned out.
